In July 2008 I took up an offer from Halifax to deposit £5000 and save £500 per month at the then very attractive rate of 12%. So I now have £9000 with Halifax (HBOS). Of interest my wife also has the same. (gullible souls)
With yesterday's HBOS results and possible further action by who knows who or what I appear to have several options open.
1. Carry on as I am doing until maturity in July, chancing my arm.
2. Do not deposit any further monthly payments.
3. Pull the whole amount out now, take my losses and ensure the £18000 is maybe not lost.
Who feels qualified to give advice.

It's your call, but your money is as safe with HBOS as anywhere - £50k each for you and your wife is covered by FSCS compensation which has been shown to work with the Icesave debacle.
