Ok I have not been very good at updating this week as I have not really seen the inside of my flat with work, uni and going to the cinema twice.
Needless to say I am having a bad week as I only managed to take lunch with me on Monday and have bought lunch every other day including going to Pret to day (tasty but painfully expensive). But I know I have not gone over budget as I have my separate weekly spend account and can't go over that unless I have my other card.
Anyway going sit down later or tomorrow and think what I have spent this week and see if I can approximate a figure.
This weekend is going to be expensive and manic as my nephew is coming to visit and he wanted to come because I am a fun Aunty and do cool things so I have quite a lot to live up to. I have also noticed that fun and cool = expensive.
Anyway we are nearly at the weekend and for that I am very grateful.:D
I hope the rest of the budgeteers are doing well and F_F has not been overtaken by the monster spot.
sazzledazzle sorry to hear about the job it can't be easy to deal with but at least you are not being made redundant. You will find a way to manage I am sure. Good luck.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

How old is your nephew? Isn't the Kelvingrove Gallery free and filled with dinosaurs and other cool Boy Things To Do? Transport Museum is also quite awesome - planes etc.0 -
Hello
Welcome to the end of the week budgeteers
Well I've totted my spends up and it comes to £4.55 out of my £10 budget. Total spends were 35p on a bag of crisps on Monday and £4.20 on lunch yesterday as I had a bad morning and didn't make any to take with me. Whilst I should be very pleased I can't help thinking how I could have easily managed without either.
Pay day next week and I need to get a few extra bits so I'll budget £15 for next week please PP.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

He is 10 so I think we may do the above as they are across the road from each other. I have booked him an hours skiing so I suppose that can be the cool and expensive treat in-between the cool and cheap options.
The other thing we may do is go to the science centre as I really like the planetarium.
I think my total for the week is about £28 as I have about £2 in my purse. I think considering I have had such a bad week coming under budget is not that bad.
I hope all the budgeteers have done well this week. :TTixy well done.
I will set up the next thread tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your friday night, I will enjoy watching the xbox channel as the boys play with their toys!Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Well the figures are in... and I did carp!!
Had a very generous budget of £45.90 and still spent £12.61 over to come in at £58.51:eek: .
In my defence;) we did do the climbing thing (£10), was my turn to pay for lunch out and my Aunty came along (1st time ever) and as she turned 65 last week (week before?) I shouted her lunch- only just over a fiver, and you only get so many Auntys don't you? Also son came as half term and now 15 he is onto adult meals so more dosh than usual there!! (£25 all in). Spent 21.51 on groceries- should of been in the grocery budget really- but pinched that to clear credit card bill, and finally 'lost' £2 to my £2 and 50p pot- so spent a blooming fortune.
Next week I will put a seperate budget aside for climbing and food- so we will see what happens there!! Will give you next weeks budget when you want it? Thinking about £10? As it's Mavas turn to shout lunch on Weds!!
Great thread again though!!- really highlights where you're spending and makes you think twice- would definately have bought more frivalous groceries in the past (pringles!!) then ate them (!!) then wonder why I am both skint and got a size 16 bottom!!!0 -
I have absolutely no idea what happened to my budget! I know I put £1.27 into my sealed tin last night... (Nearly missed out the decimal point then - that would have been impressive!) Trouble with half term is all the spending opportunities... And having 3 times as many people in the house as we normally would. (5 toilet rolls, 8 pints of milk and 4 loaves of bread in 3 days, anyone??? - And that's not including 'proper' food! We normally have 2 pints of milk, and 1 loaf of bread in a week!) Still, it was worth it, I enjoyed seeing my family.
I have erm... £10 for this week. (I was going to have £15, but I spent £5 on a few books from the charity shop yesterday!
)
I like this challenge. Not only does it make me think, but the totals in my signature are changing more quickly than I ever imagined! :jNatwest CC - [STRIKE]£2545[/STRIKE] now £0 :j
