Bank charges - two quick questions

Hello,
I am in the process of claiming bank and CC charges and just had two questions
* My bank account with Barclays was closed in 2006 - can I get statements and claim charges going back six years from then(so 2000) or can you only claim going back six years from 2009?
* I take it you should send all letters with postal orders asking for statements by recorded delivery?

Not an expert so not sure about your first question but I think you can only claim back to 2003.
Second question absolutely send statement request and postal order (make sure you put payable to the bank or they'll send it back) by recorded delivery.0 -
Claims go back 6 years from date of claim so 2003 at the moment.
Yep, use recorded delivery and check on the Royal mail site that it's been received (keep a copy of the delivery info).DWF Nerd number 1118LBM 13/01/2009, debts £29100.00 appx. Debts at [STRIKE]04/05/2011 = £22000.00[/STRIKE]22/05/2013 = £17500.00.
Status: umbrella bank account set up 16/01/2009, CCCS agreement signed and posted 19/01/2009, DMP first payment 01/03/20090
