new sofa been reduced

I ordered a sofa from a large retailer 5 weeks ago and paid a deposit. It has since been reduced by 10% and I am still waiting on delivery of the sof I ordered. Should they be obliged to pass the saving on to me

No, they have no obligation but might do this as a goodwill gesture if you ask nicely. Your only viable option otherwise would be to cancel the order (if your contract allows it) and start again.

No they won't, equally if they had put the price up they wouldn't insist you paid the higher price.

THis happened to us - we rang up to cancel the order and reorder it and they gave us vouchers to the new amount. It was £100 off.
    This was from Homebase.
