reclaiming bank charges

hi guys,

not sure if this is in the correct segment of the forum(i'm sure it's been done before) but if it's not could you please move to the proper place, thanks.

my friend has had a £30 overdraft charge from barclays taken from he's wages for the past two years(works out to some serious money) and was talking to me tonight about how to reclaim this money, is there a specific way he can do this because he tells me he's spoken to the bank about this and pretty much been rebuffed, what can he do to reclaim this money?

thanks guys.

sorry if these questions seem a bit basic or ignorant but niether of us know a how to proceed with this so any advice would be gretly appreiciated, cheers.
