Rates of return UK vs Spain

I am about to sell my house in Spain,should I leave the money in Euros in Spain or bring it back to the UK,interest rates are not as high in Spain,unless
some-one out there is aware of a good rate of return

    If you leave it in euros then you will likely be subject to exchange rate fluctuations, which can make a big difference if you need the money at short notice at the wrong time i.e. on a sterling rally against the euro.. though in the long-term it is expected that sterling will fall against the euro.

    Compariing the interest rate is largely irrelevant, as the value of the money will be affected much more by currency fluctuations than by a couple of % difference in the interest rate. My suggestion (to minimise risk) would be only to leave it in Euros if you're planning on buying another property in the Eurozone in the near future, otherwise invest it in sterling.
