  • Would love to know if you get a debit card out of Nationwide! they took away mine. I was long term good customer went BR 2006 did not owe them a penny. They still will not give me mine back although my salary is paid in electronically each month. If they will not upgrade your a/c after six years then I have another 3 years+ to go and may as well bank elsewhere. Apparently Co Op cashminder offer a basic account but with a debit card this might be good for you to start with? I have read this on the forum though so cant say it is from my personal experience.

Debit cards (AFAIK) don't help with improving credit files as you are not using "credit".

The coop account is good whilst bankrupt but from what i've seen on here they probably won't upgrade the account once discharged :(

i'm sure they have their reasons  but despite them being the most BR friendly bank they don't seem to like discharged BR's

Got my fingers crossed my other account will be a bit more positive when AD happens ;)

Life's good thanks Phil (apart from the usual staying in alone on valentines day :() .. had a tooth pulled yesterday which wasn't pleasant and scrapped my car but my mum is an angel and let me have hers (car, not tooth!!) so all good :D

Hope non BR life is being good to you?

:( .. hmmm.. not good :( .. WHY WHY WHY would someone do that?? all that's achieved is to cause you distress??? I really don't understand the motivation behind things like that?

At least you are living somewhere (i hope) where you will be comfortable and can start rebuilding and focus on you :)

wasnt a nice feeling for sure seeing my poor car & glass everywhere....funny thing though? while on the phone to the police the theif came back & placed a house brick on the drivers seat (weird or what?) thankfull though the CSI found a good fingerprint on a pair of oakley sunglasses I left in the glovebox & they've had a match so hopefully the guy will be caught SOON....he'll need the walking stick he stole when I get to him!....
