isa investment equity mini -even the name confuses me!
i am currently paying £200 a month into the above, the plan was to do so for the next 20 years, and have a substancial lump sum at the end of this period, although I know this is not guaranteed. However I have recently read that these investment savings plans should be avioded. I dont really know what to do for the best and would appreciate any advice. I started this plan in jan 2007 with nationwide

MINI classification no longer exists. ISA investment Equity is probably just the provider in questions own wording. Generically they are called Stocks and Shares ISAs.However I have recently read that these investment savings plans should be avioded.

You have the right tax wrapper (ISA).

That is where you are going wrong. Never ever ever use a bank or building society for investment products. Expensive and poor quality.
