Hi everyone, Right I have got £1,000 gained from a particually unpleasent incident were i was seriously injured during an armed robbery at the placed were I worked. Needless to say I dont work there any more and its taken alot of sessions with a psycologist to get over it, and I have recieved some compensation from the criminal injuries compensation authority, but I would like to do somthing with some of it other than a savings account (which arnt really that good anyway). Any ideas would be gratefully recieved no matter how wacky. I just want somthing really positive to come of out this, as no amount of money can take away such a horried experience. Ideally it be nice to make money on it if I can, but not essential. Lets hear your thoughts. And thanks in advance.;)

Ok, not strictly savings, how about Premium Bonds? Monthly winners from it, and if say 10 years down the line you want "out" you can have your £1000 back

Buy 1,000 scratch cards.
Give it to a victim support charity.
Invest it in further counselling sessions if they made you feel better.
Buy Lloyds or RBS shares and a prayer mat.
Evening in a casino where you stake no more than £1 all night and then blow the lot on black with the last spin of the roulette wheel.
Redecorate your house.
Turn your garden in to a vegetable patch and become self sufficient for veggies forever.
Buy a couple of season tickets for your local lower league football club.
Invest it in home energy improvements that can self finance with savings over 3 years.0 -
