Transfer from Sanford to International Drive

Hi Everyone,

We are going to Orlando in April, and want to avoid a $75.00 each way (plus Tips ) transfer cost from Sanford to Int Drive ( near Wet n Wild.)
2 adults - 3 Children

Is it possible to hire a car from Sanford to Int Drive, drop it off at a nearby location, and do the reverse on return journey for less money.

If so, can anyone give me some places to try who are rip off free.

Many Thanks

the hire car costs about 110 pound and week and you will need one at internatiol drive , i would get one there is doller at the airport and a few others . you get it with a tank of petro full up and you prob wouldnt need to put any more in . dead handy to get to the malls, or to go to space centre or just to parks the driving is easy i would get one if i on my way. there may be a doller office in town but there usually at airport locations

At those prices it going to cost you £100 for a return taxi fare. You'd be much better off with a car gives you more flexibility too and it's quite straight forward to drive over their. uscarhire.co.uk have cars from just over £100 per week inc all the add on taxes & fees.
  • You will need a car in florida - you can't go anywhere without one - Shops, malls, parks will give you more freedom.

No one walks in the States - there are very few sidewalks!!
  • You could try Mears transport https://www.mearstransportation.com
They certainly do transfers from Orlando airport but with a charge of arounf $14 per person it may not work out much cheaper than you have already been quoted.

we went to florida and stayed on ID about 7 years ago and didn't hire a car we used buses and got the odd taxi it was no problem at all
  • We went on the shuttle bus from Standford airport in Florida to International Drive. The bus was very cheap we also found transport on International Drive a breeze on the local I-trolley, we also found transport to all the theme parks via bus, this is probably not the most practible way to get around, however it worked for us. If you do get the I-trolley regulary you are far better with a 5 or 7 day ticket
