Postage to return faulty item?

Hello,
I bought a remote control helicopter off ebay a few weeks ago. put it on charge and the plug blew & the plugs all went off. Contacted seller who apologised & said for me to post it back and he would send another one once faulty one was returned. Emailed asking if he would refund postage as problem wasnt my fault. no reply. sent another message again a few days ago and still no reply. What should I do? Dont see why i should have to pay £5.00 postage on faulty item.

Thanks

It's not actually in ebay's rules at all, it just happens that paypal can't force a seller to give back more than the original amount paid.

However the total experience, once a suitable replacement has been received and checked, can be reflected in the stars and feedback elft.

  • So i do have to pay for postage?
  • Yes.

If it is faulty the seller my reimburse you for it anyway, once they have inspected it.

Yes, you have to pay for postage, and it's also advisable to send it via recordable/trackable method, otherwise you won't be able to prove you sent it if it doesn't arrive...

A good seller would refund you the postage, as it was their mistake. If they choose not to refund you, then give them a nice negative once you have a new working item!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Thanks for the advice!! Ill send it back & go from there:-)
