I really, really would advise against.

A few years ago I had a small kitchen with just room for a single device. Against the advice of a few local (independent) retailers, I bought a washer/drier (a Hoover). No complaints at all about reliability but it performed every bit as badly as the shops had warned me they all did.

The problem is that most of them will only dry half a wash load at a time, which is fiddly. And they take an age (and huge amounts of electricity) to do it.

See if you can find room for a separate tumble drier, would be my advice, FWIW.
