Upgrading Morgan Stanley card

in Credit cards
Bit of a spinoff from another thread here, but I have had my Morgan Stanley card for almost 5 years, making full repayment every month without fail since then, often of up to £2000 a time (work expenses). I have their bog standard black card and want them to upgrade to a platinum or gold card.
My salary is around £17k. Will they upgrade me on repayment history alone and without the need for a credit search? I'd rather wait and apply for another card in a few months time than have another now just for upgrading an account.
