ok if you buy buy £15 credit and they will credit your phone
with an additional £30 = £45.
Which do you use up first ... the free credit or £15 which you pay for?
Also If you dont use it all up does the £15 carry over to the next month? If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours,
It wont cost you anything!

Worth pointing out that asda minimum call charge is 8p versus tesco 10p, and asda gprs is 20p per MB versus tesco 400p.
All depends on the balance of long versus short calls, and internet usage! Very much individual preference.0 -

The free credit is always used first, and any non-free credit never expires, so yes the £15 will carry over to the next month.
They make it perfectly clear which credit is free and which is not - e.g. to find out your free credit balance you text BALANCE to 2112 (free to do), to find out your normal balance you make any call/text or dial *#10#Worth pointing out that asda minimum call charge is 8p versus tesco 10p, and asda gprs is 20p per MB versus tesco 400p.

I'll admit I am quite disappointed in the difference in internet pricing, but it's not as if Tesco is the only network who do £4/MB.0 -
My DD has a tesco mobile and recently topped up but she doesn't seem to have extra credit...do you have to physically change something by phoning them? They were doing triple clubcard points when you topped up too. We have found because Tesco is part of the 02 network she gets far better mobile signal than we do, I have Orange and where we are coverage is temperamental and also hubbys Vodafone gets a very bad signal. We're both thinking of moving over to Tesco for cheaper calls and better coverage.0

Don't forget that you can ping a pound with tesco mobile.
I buy £10 credit each month, get £10 free credit automatically. Then my son pings a £1 from my phone every 24 hrs (or less often as he needs) and that is taken from the paid for credit. I then use the free credit which I can just get through by the end of the 30 days, and we start all over again. That way we both get £10 credit on our phones for a £10 lay-out.

I've been using the tesco mobile deal for some time.
I was on the £15 top up, get 150 mins talk time.
I used to find that I would - with normal use - use the talktime in a month and the £15 in about 20 days.
So for about 55 days a £15 top-up was fine.
But I swtiched to the new deal.
I think it's good because the extra £30 takes into account text messages etc - so I reckon that I'll still be topping up about £15 every 2 months.
Another good factor is that if you say top-up £15 on 1 Feb 2009 - but find that you don't need to top-up again to say 15 Apr 2009, the free £30 credit will kick in then for 30 days.
So you don't have to top up £15each and every month!

Random question... i have just got a Tesco phone that is locked, they say I need to have £25 credit on my phone so they can debit it for that.
Does anyone know if that includes this tripled credit or can they tell the difference between my credit and bonus credit?
Hope that makes sense!0 -
i would phone and ask them to be sureThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o

You have to register for the free credit deal. It's 284 on your mobile- register before you top up.
Existing Tesco mobile users can call this number too to switch to the deal.
An example of how it works:
Top up £10 on the 1st of May. This is your paid for credit- it doesn't expire.
The 1st then becomes your "anniversary" date each month.
Within 48 hours, Tesco will give you £10 free credit.
Any of this free credit unused by the anniversary date on 1st of June will be lost.
Free credit is used up first.
You keep any of your remaining £10 paid for credit.
You do NOT have to top up again until you feel you need to. If you top up on the 12th of June, the 12th becomes your new anniversary date.
Triple points on top ups has been extended until December.
Don't forget to register your 5 half price numbers online.
