Can anyone help I am confused with advertising.
Tesco are promoting PAYG buy £15 credit and they will credit your phone with an additional £30 = £45.
Do you have to use the credit by a certain date??
I can't work out the advert.

nope im confused too! i buy £10 and they top up with £10, and i have to use it all in a month?£10 lasts me a year!0 -
Hi I dont know if this is the same as my dad's plan with tesco but he buys 15 pound of credit a month and they give him 1000 free minutes a month...
all well and good
But my dads gone a bit crazy with it and clocked up 95 pound credit as he rarely uses the free 1000 minutes but he still tops up the 15 a month!
I dread to think what he would do if he lost his mobile2010 challenge A.B.C.D.[STRIKE]E.[/STRIKE]F.G.H.I.J.[STRIKE]K[/STRIKE].L.M.N.O.P.Q.[STRIKE]R[/STRIKE].S.T.U.V.W.X.Y.Z
Best of luck everyone!
I have also gone for platinum in the presents challenge.2/150 -

Yes you would have to use the free credit up each month! Not much good for me.0 -
I have a Tesco mobile and changed over to this plan a couple of weeks back. I didnt credit any extra money but they took the credit that I already had on the phone and doubled that! (At least I think they doubled it - I think there was approx £15.00 on it and after changing plans I had nearly £40.00 more than double) I've been using it more than ever to try and use the free credit up but have still only used a fraction of it.0

You'd be surprised.
I was considering ASDA mobile - 8p/min 4p/text. Tesco is 10p/min 5p/text for 5 nominated numbers, and double that for other numbers (for the purpose of my example we'll talk about the lower rate - I only call the same three numbers 99% of the time). It turns out that Tesco is actually better if you use more than 25 minutes or 50 texts each month (on average), and every time you top up you top up exactly £10. Note this isn't £10 a month, this is £10 topped up any time you aren't already in a free credit month.
If you top up £10, 25 minutes is £2.50 each month, so out of your £10 free credit you'll use £2.50 of it giving you £12.50 over 5 months for the price of £10. That is, 125 minutes for £10, or *gasp* 8p a minute.
Obviously none of this applies if you make a significant amount of calls at the higher rate, so for the record, over 110 minutes a month topping up exactly £15 makes Tesco better than ASDA.
Sorry that this sounds like an ad for Tesco mobile (on that note, Clubcard points!), it's just I've found it quite decent. 3's "stretch" means ALL the credit you've stretched is valid for only one month, and most other networks have such high charges that none of the bonuses are worthwhile, at least for a light texter medium caller like me.0 -
thanks for help clearing that up0

For clarity also,
before this £15 to £45 offer there is the previous offer of
top up by £15 and get 150mins free or 150 txts.
Personally I'm still on that. I just recieved a txt in the last minute to tell me to top up by £15 by the 2nd to continue this.
I imagine new customers get the £15 to £45 option.
I would prefer the £15-£45 option as it can apply to txts or calls, or non inclusive stuff.Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker0 -

I'd pricked up my ears about this offer, but if you have to use it all in a month, then it's no good for me either.
£10 lasts me for about a year as I text my kids only when necessary and rarely, if ever, actually make a call (like breakdown services or similar).0 -
Let me clarify it.
When you top up £15 you get your free £30 credit on top which equals to £45.
The original £15 top-up you did dosn't have a set date you can finish it when ever you want. BUT the £30 Credit that Tesco give has to be used within 30 days.0 -
Im a little confused by this.
I topped up my phone today with £15 thinking i would automatically get the extra £30 along with it.
Have looked at the site linked above but am none the wiser.
Should i have registered to get my free credit? Or will it automatically go on in 48 hours?Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600
