Mothercare pushchair service?

Has anyone ever sent their pushchair back to mothercare to be serviced? If so, how much does it cost and is it worth it? What do they do with it?
My Mothercare Albany Plus (like a Graco Sterling) pushchair is a bit saggy and squeaky after my elder son using it and I now want to use it for my younger child. I read in the instructions that mothercare recommend taking it back to them for a service it if you want to use it for a second child. It could probably do with it.
Any experiences/advice most welcome.

Never heard of it...I think it is just a way of them getting more money out of you - well that is my opinion.
Sorry I can't be of more help.0 -
apparently it's £36 and they don't seem to do more than 'check' it's ok, so I'm inclined to agree with you, rach1973. Mothercare themselves are very vague about it.
I'll just spray a bit of WD40 on the wheels!0 -
£36
You can get a new pushchair for that price....or alot of WD40!!!!0 -
I have a Maclaren pushchair which I bought from Mothercare for my first baby. I had a service done on it (they sent the pushchair back to Maclaren) and really recommend it. The pushchair came back as new. They've changed everything on it - apart from the metal chasis (They even changed the seat and made it more padded and put brand new fabric on it!). I paid around £40 for the service and I know I could have bought a new pushchair for that but my Maclaren is suitable from birth and needed it for my soon to be born baby.
Hope it helps

hi just a word of warning - my friend's pushchair broke within the guarantee so mothercare took it in and lent her a really dog-eared one . 5 months later, they still can't find her own pushchair-in which case probably better to buy a new one !!
