Hi,
I am in the process of consolidating my debts onto a 0% credit card. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to transfer an overdraft to a 0% credit card? if so how do you do it? I was thinking the only way is to withdraw cash from 1 credit card, pay off the overdraft, and then do a balance transfer from that credit card to the 0%, but it seems a little convoluted. any advice greatly received.
Regards

There are some credit cards that allow you to balance transfer to your bank account. One of these is the Egg card. Not sure what the other cards are, but I'm sure someone else on here will know.0

I have just (an hour ago)transferred money from my new Alliance and Leicester card to my current account as a balance transfer. It cost 2% (£50 max). The 0% rate is for 6 months and the minimum payment is only £5 per month. I applied ove the phone for the card on Monday! ....paperwork came for signature on Tuesday and card came today. I opened an account after reading Martin's best buy current account articleWombling £457.410

1. The A&L offer is 9 months, not 6 months, according to the online T&C's.
2. Sections 2b and 16 of the card's T&C's would seem to indicate that you are now paying 22.9% APR on your 'money transfer' transaction. Have you read these sections of your own credit agreement?
3. I hope MBNA are not looking in, because there's an awful lot of detail in your post!0 -
thanks everyone
