Hi I have just had my first survey back and the main concerns are as follows:
rainwater fittings - repair/renew the rainwater fittings
external joinery - repair/replace the rood edge
external decoration - redecorate the roof edge timbers
can any one shed any light on if these are common things that they make remarks about and any cost implications
any help would be good.
thanks

They're easy to deal with, and if that's all which is showing up, it's not much!
However, the type & value of the house and the kind of survey would all be useful contexts to add.0 -
Thanks Dave

Gosh, no! I usually do my own/get a family member to do things. Last guttering/fascias I had was 20 years ago. I'd go upvc myself. About a day's work I'd say for a specialist.
You could try sites like My Hammer for rough estimates:
http://www.myhammer.co.uk/
or maybe this one:
http://www.whatprice.co.uk/
or maybe ask on the DIY section of this forum.0 -
