Went to see Bolt 3D with girlfriend (her choice) at the local Odeon.
Paid £16.10 for 2 tickets. 7pm start time, trailers etc finish around 7.30, lights come on, curtains close, wait for the the film to start....
8pm.....no sign of bolt.....staff announce 'technical hitch' and there will be no showing and will be refunding at the desk...
And that's its. Just a refund. Not even a free ticket for a future showing. They're was only 20 people in cinema.
I asked to speak to manager but he wasn't around. Left my number and told to expect call from manger in the morning ....I'll be surprised if he calls and more surprised if I get a ticket or two for the inconvenience.

I'd put your complaint in writing, if you don't get called back tomorrow, as that's really poor service.
My friend and I once complained about a freezing cinema and got 2 tickets each!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Yep cant believe how pricey cinema is now.
Went on my own tonight to see Benjamin Button and ticket and a small drink cost me a tenner.
Used to be a cheap night out but will think long and g hard about going again and will wait for DVD's to come out.
Cinema had about 15 people in it and car park was very empty so I think they are really starting to sufffer.
I know they do orange wednesdays and other offers but well I will be voting with my feet.0 -
Ooops apologies - went totally off tangent there.
Definately send a letter in.
Most of the big chains pay minimum wage to kids to do most of the roles and the manager or assistant manager is also a low paid position and apart from manager nowone there would have authority to offer a refund.
Letter to head office will get you best results. Its not like giving you tickets for what would be empty seats is going to cost them.0
