Name & Shame! - Estate agents!

Im sure alot of people on here are scouring rightmove and just like me noticed various Estate Agents who fail to advise their clients on pricing their homes correctly, and now have houses on the market for 6-12 months!

They havent changed the prices due to the recession which is why they still are unsold.

So im going to get the list started by naming....

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/estate-agents/agent/Green-and-Co/Sutton-Coldfield-15194.html

Green & Co.

Possibly by far the worst i have seen on rightmove in the areas i am looking at buying, many of their homes havent reduced in price for over a year and after talking to them their arrogance is so funny i just laughed at one of thier agents when they told me prices hadnt fallen.

Not always agents fault. Vendors are still on cloud 9 and don't want to drop their prices, still happening still going round with fingers in ears singing la la la la la la . Sooner they wake up sooner the rest of us can do deals...
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
  • Is that a wind up?
Prices are not falling in your area so you want to start a name and shame list?
I've heard it all now and they say there is no pent up demand... Jeez.

But they have fallen this is my point.

Dixons have sold houses in this area because ive seen them go.

one house was up for 20k less than similar in the same street. one from Dixons the other from Green.

Guess which is still on the market.

The agents valuation has a bigger effect on asking price than what the home owner "thinks" its worth

I think we should do the same with petrol prices.;)

It's the vendors mat not the agents if EA's would price them they would price them to sell at the moment.
    they need the sales.

Mods please move this thread as it has nothing to do with House Prices, Recession or the Economy but more to do with House Buying, Renting & Selling

How do you know it's the EAs that are determining the prices in all the cases you've looked at? Have you spoken to all the sellers involved?

Maybe the EA is keen to reduce the price but the client is in denial and still wants to get 2007 pricing for their home?

I spend an impatient day at my desk solely thinking about this thread and not able to work due to quivering anticipation. I manage to duck out early, grab a taxi rather than my normal public transport, quick start my laptop, open my bookmarks, come straight to this page and...

...nothing. My whole day, looking forward to some goddamn naming and shaming. Really sticking it those Estate Agents. A big long list of them spanning the country. And there's nothing. My disappointment is on a scale that you mere mortals will never be able to comprehend. It will be a long time before I get over this, it really will.

I wonder about that Panda guy , the agents would drop them by 50% if they could sell them and increase turnover, vendors wouldn't be to happy :rotfl:

I reckon he is a HPC Bot.
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher
  • Bottom line its the vendor who decides what there house is worth a estate agent will give you what they think your house is worth, but bottom line its what you want to put it up for, if you price it a lot more than a smilar house up your road it just wont sell.

A house on the same road has mine and been for sale over a year,at 189,000 and mines up for 140,000. The difference being i only paid 70,000 for mine the person up the road paid 169,000 for theirs so they are just not willing to drop the price.

I know the area you are on about sutton and the houses havent dropped that much, but it is a nice area.
