Bank Charges letter - we've had a response

Wrote to Natwest re the bank charges levied on hubby's account over the last 6 years.
Now hubby has a busines account with Natwest and as a result, his business manager looks after his personal account as well (as well as mine and our joint account) as they all seem to be linked and today she rang hubby as she had been faxed a copy of the letter wanting to discuss it with him.
Hubby being a busy bee (and not really knowing what I've written!) has asked her to contact me.....have I opened a can of worms??
What is she likely to say ??? And more importantly what line do I take???

Don't take the Consumer Credit Act line - it won't apply to a business account - just quote the case law.
Don't worry about it - the law is on your side.
Does your husband have another business account - or can he get another. Their only plan of attack that I can see is to close the account.0 -
Sorry I should have made myself clearer....we wrote to them about the charges on hubby's personal account.
The business manager rang him as his,mine and our personal accounts are linked to the business account....for some strange reason.2014 Target;

i would say whats to discus 'i want the money refunded!'
they want you to go in so they can talk you round, the business account wasnt the query the personal account was...
speak on the phone stating that as requested you want the charges refunded...

If you do a job well, people won't be sure you've done anything at all :rolleyes:
Must claim back bank charges!!!:rolleyes:0 -
I don't want to worry you, but some banks (and not Natwest so far) do get really, really nasty and try to cause as much damage as possible.
IF you have an overdraft with the business account I would guess that being as greedy as they are, they won't cut their nose off to spite their face, so you're probably quite safe.0 -
I must admit this has slightly unnerved me - I'm sure that hubby would have few objections to having to move his personal account (he hasn't used it on a day-to-day basis since I've been a member of this site and only has 1 standing order on it!) - but the business account is a different matter (not sure what his partner would have to say about this !)2014 Target;

Well the bank have actually written back to hubby stating that they apologise for the delay but they are still waiting copies of his statements - aren't computer supposed to be wonderful these days, conataing every last detail about us????? - and hope to get back to us within the next 2 weeks with an update, if not a full response.
So I guess the waiting game continues - they've had a week come tomorrow since they received the letter so that's 7 days out of the 40 I need to wait.
Will keep you posted.2014 Target;
