Thankyou for responding so quick i am Gurantor for my daughter in law for 3,000 when she took it out in july.they did not send me aggrement untill i found out she could not pay and took 118.00 out of my bank account i was fuming rang them and said that they can do that.they said her d/d bounced and anyway told did not recieve aggrement at start they sent me straight away one which is photocopy and cant read.went to bank today as she has broken up with my son and left us with debt.asked for loan which i got bank rang them for me and paid them off 2,797.33 I told them that i am going to report them to fsa as they kept on charging 20.00 for bounced d/d i got really angry in there but had to get it of my chest.we need to tell people not to touch this company as its a death penalty if you use them.i will send all imfo of to fsa and let them decide, they have powers now to revoke there licence.
i take it you mean they didnt send you a copy apart from the copy you would of had to read and sign otherwise it would of been unenforcable, and its normal practice to apply charges for late payments/bounced dd.
i think you are focusing your anger on the wrong person here , flm didnt put you in that position your ex-daughter in law did, anyone who is going to stand as a guarantor on a loan needs to think very carefully about it cos when it all boils down to it its the guarantors responsibilty
  • I got a loan contract from these today saying i had been accepted as long as i could have some one back me up, the admin fee was £175.00 and was taken out of the loan amount that i had asked for.

Dont know if this helps or not. the loan amount was only 1500 so i passed on because of the admin fee. Apart from the admin fee they seemed ok, but as ive never had dealing with them dont quote me on it lol.

    Hi,

Just to add to the posts

I am a guarantor for a family member and we have been 1 payment behind for the last few months, and they are constantly texting and phoning - to the point of me wanting to change my number.

Every time I speak to them they ask if any family/friends (or even workmates!!) can lend us the money to pay them...even though I have constantly told them that they've got they're own financial problems. Honestly - do they not think if I had the money to get payments up to date I would do instead of letting charges mount up?

(ps payments for each letter sent £20 + £7 "costs" )
