Where I can find some new and different designs for wedding invitations?

In just over six months my daughter is getting married. Now that she’s set a date, I’m shopping for wedding invitations. I have seen many designs but can’t find anything I like. Have you had any experience with ordering well-designed wedding invitations?

When I made my invitations etc last year I just Googled for some designs, and made them up myself - not too difficult, just a bit time consuming!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Shouldn't your daughter have a say its her day
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
I think it really depends on what sort of design you are after.

Are you looking for something like a printed image or a more handmade item?
There are hundreds of companies out there but there is also a massive variation in price so really shop around.
If you let us know what sort of things you and your daughter like people might be able to make some specific suggestions
Keep us posted!

For our invitations, we took a picture of my favourite flower - a cerise gerbera - (that we're having in my bouquet/on the tables etc) and photoshopped it, printed it off (4 to a page of A4) and decoupaged it onto A5 black cardblanks. I printed the details of the wedding onto A4 silver vellum. Hole-punched the vellums and card and threaded them together with black curling ribbon. Then we just added a silver 'wedding invitation' topper and Bob's your Auntie's live-in lover!
It took bliddy ages but there were unique and very personal (and cost far less than ordering them from a company!)0 -
I agree with what several other posters have said about making invitations. I did mine because I wanted a more personal touch, and it worked out much cheaper than anything I could find in the shops.0

If you have a limitless budget there's an amazing shop near us in Edinburgh that has stunning invitations, Magenta Ink. But you pay a lot for them! Might be worth looking at for inspiration though, that's what I did then we made our own, which can be seen here. We made them like mini books as our venue has a book-theme to it. As other posters said, it was way cheaper than getting someone else to do it.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

You could have a look at this site, she makes handmade cards to match any colour theme. Prices vary, from economically priced to really expensive.

There are lots of sites on the internet that sell wedding invitations now, but some are better than others. My cousin used a company called www.MonogramWedding.com and was really happy with her invitations and response cards. You might give them a try.0

POSTER HAS POSTED TWICE ABOUT THIS COMPANY - ONCE SAYING THEY USED IT FOR THEIR WEDDING AND THE SECOND SAYING IT FOR A COUSINS WEDDING!
Finally decided to start growing up when it comes to money!:j
