Amazon price increase

  • i had my eye on something as a Christmas gift which was £72, it was out of stock at the time so i purchased anyway as it said they email when it's back in stock. A few weeks past and I heard nothing so I cancelled the order. It then came back in stock but was not available in time for Christmas delivery so I didn't buy it but kept it in my basket.
After Christmas it came back in stock- at £96!
Since then it's been up and down between £76 and £96, I'm hoping it'll go back down to £72, I'd feel sort of cheated paying even just £4 extra! (especially as I've been saving hard earned amazon vouchers for it!)

If you don't buy things form Amazon often the keep it in your basket- every time you look in your basket, if the price has changed it will flash up with a notice.
With any luck it should go back down again, but I wouldn't hold your breath for it being quite as cheap as before. Seems to change price roughly once or twice a month.

Often prices can go up when demand is higher too, you can go back a few days or weeks later and it cane go down. Ebuyer I have noticed do this too when demand goes up over a certain level
  • My mum wants a book for her birthday which was £13.00 but it's jumped to £13.86. I know it's only 86p but it annoys me! :grrr
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*

I#ve had a camera (Canon 450D) in my basket for a couple of months now - I've been saving up to get one, and worked out that I could get myself one next month as it was only £369 plus £70 for the lens. I happened to log on last week and had a look at my basket, and now it's £425 and £85 for the lens, and lots of other items seemed to have gone up. Grrrrrr!

http://www.warehouseexpress.com/search/?q=Canon%20450D, Jesssops claim to match this website , hope this helps

Thanks for this! It seems Amazon are still cheapest, so I'm just annoyed I didn't get myself organised and bought it two months ago!
