I#ve had a camera (Canon 450D) in my basket for a couple of months now - I've been saving up to get one, and worked out that I could get myself one next month as it was only £369 plus £70 for the lens. I happened to log on last week and had a look at my basket, and now it's £425 and £85 for the lens, and lots of other items seemed to have gone up. Grrrrrr!

I was looking to get an external hard drive and that has increased in price by about 20% recently. I guess it has something to do with the exchange rate and increasing costs of transporting products from the US and Far East to the UK0

If it was a sale item then it's probably just gone back up to pre-sale prices. But even if it wasn't, prices go up, it happens. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

Keep your eye on it Mippy, I've got stuff in my basket on Amazon that I've had there for ages and it's like a yoyo sometimes, it's so up and down.
I would think it's safe to assume it will come down again.0 -
Well, I'm not buying it for another month but the £369 price was in place for a while, so perhaps it is to do with imports. Jessops looks about the same price too. I need a hard drive too, so I might have to either wait or just buy the body for now.0

They also use "demand" for their prices.
I was watching the price of a DVD that stated only 6 copies left in stock. The price was £6.99, which went to £7.99 when only 5 copies left, £8.99 for 4 copies left and £9.99 when only 3 copies were left.0 -

The best thing to do is create a wish list add item and just purchase when the price meets your level/cashflow, not forgetting to cross check with other suppliers!
I know probably preaching to the converted already but its the way I do it:D0 -
