im looking to rent my house out, and i am looking for some tips, we are going to rent unfurnished.
should we look out for certain tennants??
how long should the agreenent be for?
should i get homelet insurance, and what level?
And anything else??
im not a btl landlord, im just in a position that it is better for me to let out my property.
so no slating please lol

You may be better to go to an agency, as they will protect the deposit, get the references, credit check and more than likely do the inventory. Try the follwowing website www.landlordzone.co.uk there are other 1st time LL threads on here with links to other websites. You will also need to have a gas safety certificate. I am typing this from a tennats point of view, so hopefully a LL will come along shortly and cover the points I have missed!
