Just pointing it out in case OP thought it was more local

shame flights on Friday are more expensive, as even though its Easter, there should be a lot of self catering apartments ( many in timeshare resorts ) available- much bigger than your average hotel, and usually well placed , but most are Friday -Friday

Transfer is 188 ...not looked round thats the first one but if ther is a Britannia flight they often have transfers for 15pp
Thomsons flight with Transfers £ 611.94
xl flight with transfers booked seperatly £636
so need to shave the transfer down or work on Britannia flight

    Corralejo €33 each way
Puerto de la Cruz €71 each way
    per taxi found on http://www.toandfrom.org/airport/canaries.html#TFS
which is still well with in budget

BTW whilst I know Xl flights usually have on board film, does those "branded" Air Malta have any entertainment these days - did not last time I travelled with them

No Air Malta still doesnt have entertainment.

I think you always have to way up the savings made by DIY with things like cheap airlines, arranging own transfers against the ALL IN package
but when you think of the savings that can be made I think its well worth putting up with
package for Fuertevenura from Brum on the 5th is Castillo Beach Bungalows,
Caleta De Fuste, Fuerteventura for £919 with direct holidays which has some dodgy reviews
    and thats the cheapest package

Cheapest Tenerife is 1311 4*HB and thats allocation on arrival
I wouldnt wait , We have seen what its been like this week for holidays dissapearing for people wanting half term
If the price is right I would get on the inter web and book it

BTW...If you still want it fully bonded get on to TravelMan he will put the package together and you will have all the benefits of a package but still save the money..copy the prices off here (if you seen what you like) then ask him to match it..win win !! ..lol

  • Lowonmoney....either post on board/PM me the choices you've made. Will try & match & put under Co-Op Travels ATOL. I wish all posters were like you...see a bargain & want to book it instead of p*****g around, losing deal & giving us all more work to do!

Wednesday night I'm afraid is curry night (have to cook for her once a week!) so I'll be skinned if I'm on this computer much longer! I've PM'D you my contact details/ABTA/ATOL bits, etc...

Will be about 1st thing tomorrow am.

    Have you searched https://www.direct-holidays.co.uk https://www.portland-direct.co.uk https://www.eclipsedirect.co.uk ?

Perhaps a less popular island like Fuerteventura might be cheaper.
