Electricity Meter Problem

My electricity meter 'clocked' last year, going over the 99999 mark back to zero). This shouldn't have been a problem, but the bill we received for that period shows us using an average of 48 units per day instead of the average 24 per day we have used for the last 3.5 years!

Is it possible that something went wrong when the meter 'clocked'?

All previous bills and the following bill show us at the lower 24 per day.

Any advice gratefully received.

ahhh the old round the clock chestnut, yes sometimes there are problems when calculating the bill i'd get in touch with them and ask them to check it's all right.
