Halifax

It's ironic (and idiotic of me) that I have just received a letter saying that there is a bank charged to be applied to my account, when what took me pasy my overdraft limit was Halifax cashing the cheque for my bank charges statement! I should have ensured that the money was in my account, that I do not dispute BUT they are charging me £63 for going £9.73 overdrawn! Apparently £35 as a "paid item fee" and £28 for going over my authorised overdraft limit!

Are Halifax the worst company when it comes to bank charges? As that to me seems very high.

To answer your question yes. If this is your first load of charges, if you ring them up 9 times out of 10 they will refund. However if it is not then you will have to write a letter requesting a refund to customer relations. if you are not in hardship then they will either refund as a gesture of goodwill or keep your claim on hold until the test case.

I have had a claim with them since 2007, they were a pain then got worse I applied via hardship 8 months ago and was told a month ago that they are putting my claim on hold. no explanation, loads of calls i have had to make.

For gods sake send everything recorded, they are the worse for saying they have not received the documents and then saying after you send it by special delivery "oh yes we had it all along"

    Good luck!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
