Credit card reclaim - account number?

I'm about to have a go at reclaiming credit card charges for the first time and I have a quick (and rather daft :o ) question. On the template letter, it asks me to give my account number. Is that just the long number on the front of the card? I know, it's a really silly question, I just want to make sure that I don't get anything wrong.

  • I think you have a seperate number on your monthly statement.
I think the card number is just for payments.
Check your montly statement to be sure.
  • Thanks, I'll have a look, see what it says on there.

For credit cards the account number is normally the 16 digit number on the front of the card.
