Do i have any hope r.e our dishwasher

Apologies if this is not meant here but had no idea where to put so feel free to move.

Ok i really annoy myself, i am very orgonised and put everything away BUT the things i need i lose or throw away! I have had bank statements for years and last wkend shredded them all.

Our dishwasher of just over a year is not dispensing the tablets and can i find the receipt, the bank statement is in the shredder as cannot find and i am not happy! is there any joy of getting it fixed or will it be a years guaruntee? It is fro Dixons

can't you print a statement from your bank online?

possibly but it was over a year ago, don't they charge a fee for this? I am in the process of closing the account and have held off at mo due to obviously using this to pay with.

If you aren't able to get the machine repaired under guarantee, could you just put the tablet loose in the cutlery box? I did this with my old machine.

possibly but i guess i am annoyed that 1 it is pretty new and 2 it wasn't cheap! dh looked online and it shows the way the tablet is dispensed etc, we have noticed now twice that the actual wrapper on the finish tablets are not disolving which they should, dh thinks maybe we should unwrap them ourselves but again they are not chepa and they are supposed to do it!! I will ring dizons tommorow and try and push my luck!

If you have online banking you can print your own statements with no charge.

you can try ringing dixons, but without a receipt, or a bank statement showing the exact day you bought it, there is not a lot they will do. With a statement, they can look up your purchase details.

Either way, if the warranty was only for a year (& it normally is with dixons/currys etc) & you didn't pay for an extended warranty, I doubt they will do much more than pass you onto their service dept, to book an engineer at your own cost.

It would probably be much cheaper for you to find a local dishwasher repair man.

Or, have you tried looking on ukwhitegoods to see if others have had the same problem with this model? They can probably also advise you of what part you need & how to fit it.

If the machine is not dispensing the tablets, is there some thing blocking this? ie a draw or cultery in the way.

You also write that the tablet is not unwrapping, hot water in the machine makes the wrapper dissolve, so maybe your hot water is not hot enough.....

If this the only thing wrong with your machine, I suggest you change cleaning tablets to a power type.
