isa good idea for april 09?

I have a couple of ISA accounts and have £2,000 ready to put into one of my current ISA accounts or open a new one.

I am a little put off by putting this money into an ISA what with the low interest rates on offer.

What would you guys do?

a)Put the full £3,600 over the year and reap the rewards when interest rates go up?
b)Find another saving account with higher rates.
c)Stick the money elsewhere (Premium Bonds or other investments)?

thanks

If you dont need the money I would recommend putting it in a S&S ISA, rates are low and equities are cheap. Or you could put some in cash and some S&S.

Well I think it's fair to say, interest rates are p1ss-poor at the moment. The Governer of the BoE has singled a further reduction in interest rates, possibly to as low as 0%.

I personally wouldn't invest in Cash ISAs until interest rates are on the rise.

if you can get better rates net on a savings account (quite likely at the moment) then why not save in them and subscribe to the ISA in March 10?
