Help re:cleaner/degreaser

Hi, Please can anyone suggest a cleaner de-greaser for the kitchen worktops that can make them sparkle I never seem to get them clean don't every eat fried food or anything but the worktops don't have a shiny coating on them so i think they just hold the muck more.
I used to use C -bang this worked really well but it is expensive, last time I went shopping ibought a cheap one but it dosn't do much good.
Any ideas would be great dont want to spend a lot of money.

50/50 Mixture of Distilled Vinegar (white) & Water in a spray bottle, will do the trick.

I used the same answer yesterday when somebody wanted to know what to use to clean bathroom tiles - so basically you can use it for most things!

Thanks Dora for the quick reply would i be able to add some sort of essential oils to take away the vinegar smell or would this not mix with the vinegar?

Yes you can use essential oils. The vinegar smell doesn't last long anyway, honest

If the smells not to bad i'll try it without,I love this site I would never thought of doing this before I would have paid the money because I needed it.

If you have very greasy worktops (or hob) vinegar and some bicarb works wonders!!! I also use vinegar and water to clean my kitchen and bathroom, and i do like to add a few drops of essential oils in with it.
