Dangerous Boiler - Grant in Scotland?

I have just been told that our gas boiler is old and dangerous and should be replaced asap - Scottish Gas.
I noticed that the warm front scheme in England can provide grants for new boilers if in receipt of certain benefits. I am in receipt of DLA and due to mobility problems am unable to leave the house frequently.
I looked at the warm front equivalent for Scotland and see no mention of grants for boilers.
Has anyone had any experience of boiler grants for disabled in Scotland? I am 50.

Have you asked www.energysavingtrust.org.uk if they can help?Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0

Hello dmackay41,
The Scottish equivalent of the Warm Front Scheme, is called Warm Deal.
Here's a link for further information.

I would have a second opinion before you proceed too much further. Often a simple repair will resolve the problem, and there are forums here to do with heating, that could offer you advice,

Hi Munchie,
Thanks, but not really a Scottish equivalent - no mention of boilers.0 -

yes, I did, they put me in touch with Warm Deal which does not cover boiler grants, as they do in England.
Was told there is no scheme in Scotland as there is in Northern Ireland, and England and Wales, unless I was in receipt of the old age pension.0 -

Sorry Munchie, forgot the last part of your reply. The boiler we have is 20 years old and they stopped making parts for it in 1991. The house is only 11 years old which means the builder (which is now bust) used boilers that were 9 years old when they houses were first built.
They simply do not make the parts anymore.0
