Gas & Electricity
I am afraid all the suppliers are part of a cosy cartel, and the Government is complicit in the prices remaining penal. I know they want the Utilities to invest in green technology, but the Government & Consumers are being fleeced. Years ago I was a great supporter of Privatisation: not any longer. Banks and Utilities have been over greedy and ruined it. What about the Government nationalising British Gas and then being able to control the price of all the other cowboys?

Whilst you will find some support on here for your view (me, for one), please be aware this forum is literally crawling with bods who derive their income from the energy industry (many of whom post repeatedly during office hours, make of that what you will  ) so also expect to be accused of various things, including the very commonly expressed 'uninformed ranting' one. Just a word to the wise...Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
MoneySavingExpert is crawling with rampant, overly greedy consumers who gleefully fleece fellow consumers. If consumers were fair and honest, suppliers could be fair and honest. As consumers have no interest in common decency, businesses are not going to voluntarily liquidate themselves through appealing to a miniscule base.0

Hi Noble...if you put a civil servant in charge of anything, they will build an empire, they have no concept of saving a shilling.
Am gradually coming round to your way, Carmine , of switching several times a year. Jesus, did I really say that.0 -
Ken68...I totally agree re Government (Brown couldn't run a bath) but something needs to be done to stop the naked greed of these bods. A daily report of the wholesale prices would be good: if we saw by how much we were being ripped off in this 'depression' we would be sick...Sack Ofgem, much too much on the side of the Utilities. Hardly ever answering questions on air (too difficult).0
