Llyods TSB Advance Card...grrr!

The Money Saving Expert Newsletter (31 Jan) Recommended the Lloyds TSB Advance card as cheap rate credit card with 5.5% interest (for the life of the BT) and no minimum salary requirement.

I required a card to transfer my balance to (charges 2% for BTs) and is 0% interest on purchases for 6 months..ideal while I am away travelling for two months.

However, after reading all the small print and applying for the card I find that they do not offer credit cards to people who are unemployed! I WISH THEY'D SAY SO!! Am sure being rejected for credit cards doesn't help your credit rating either. Grrrrr

The only application requirements as quoted from the website:
'Are you over 18, a UK resident and free of any county court judgements? Then you can apply for an Advance card. Here’s how you can do it: '
Sounds so simple...
...but you have to also be employed! (but they don't tell you that..at least i couldn't find it in ANY of the terms and conditions)

Does anyone know of any cards that do not require you to be working other than Barclaycard?? :o

I can't pretend to know which if any credit cards don't require you to be employed, although I think Morgan Stanley do on ewith no minimum salary requirement. Having had this problem it would be a good idea for you to phone customer services to check before you apply for another card.

Good question: I receive regular benefit payments and only use the card if I know I can repay it by the following month.

Also a friend is shortly repaying me some money I lent them so this would clear any purchases I make while abroad :)

I've just received the Lloyds Advance card with 0% interest and I'm not employed
