Halifax is charging my parents for phone calls

Hi

Everytime Halifax bank phones my parents to remind the of missed payments, they charge my parents £10 pound per phone call. I think this is totally unfair on people with low income. Can my parents claim back those phone charges against Halifax?

This also applies to letters halifax sent has well which cost £ 10.00.

advice is welcome

Thank you :D

  • Is this in the t&c's for what ever it might be? I'm sure they can only charge for letters sent?

I think this is totally unfair on people with low income.

why does their income make any difference on whether it is fair or not?

Is there some rule that allows people on low income to abuse the running of their bank accounts and get away with things that those on higher income cannot?

If the charge is in the terms and conditions then they can levy it. I am assuming this applies to a mortgage.
