It is mainly the husband's fault. LOL ! A stuck-in-his-comfort-zone virgo who cracks up at every teeny weeny change . If I say we dont need to go to the shops he will do the drama queen thing and throw open the fridge door and find something we havent got !
(always somethign he likes ). Then I think oh well better take the money etcetc blahblah. This is going to take willpower....... and I ran out of that 30 years ago ! LOL

I have felt like this - I HAVE to go to the supermarket, even if it's only to get a few bits. When I feel like this I really have to fight the urge and make stuff last a few days longer. I've fallen off the menu planning wagon lately (been really busy, kids always ailing and been dog tired) and we've been making more little trips for stuff and spending at least £20 each time - it's terrible! Need to reign it in a little, just need to get my H on board. I cringe each time he says he's going to the shop for one item as he always comes back with bags and bags!!!!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

.....sausages and rice anyone????
sausages and pasta????....
Unravel the sausages from their skins to make meatballs or chop into chunks & add to a tomato-based sauce, to eat with pasta......
Thinly slice the sausages to make into curry, to eat with rice.....
And when you get down through your bulging cupboards & freezer to the frozen lemon slices, remains of a bag of couscous and a tub/jar of ancient dried mixed herbs, you can make a mountain of herby lemon couscous2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Sausage and pasta?
Oh I disagree
I do a cheap dinner with chopped onion, fried off, cooked sausage then sliced and browned off some more, cooked macaroni and hot cream of tomato soup...mix well and eat.
In our house it's simply called 'sausage macaroni'0 -

Sausage and pasta is a classic - fab if you get the balance right, and add good seasonings/herbs - its a good standby in our house. Try something like this:

Now I luuuuuuuuuurve sausage and pasta bake (with broccoli (why does that never look like it's spelt correctly?!) and tinned toms).
We eat quite a bit of sausage but what bothers me is what is IN the sausage. They're not known for being the best bits of the pig are they........even if they say 97% meat which bit of meat are they referring to?!!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
