Sky TV

After many years of paying £75 per month, I have today received a letter from Sky stating that if I continue to pay via credit/debit card they are going to penalize me and charge an extra 50 pence per month. This apparently is in fairness to all their other customers who pay via direct debit.

Whilst I have never had any objection to paying via direct debit I certainly object to their futile attempt to blackmail me and accordingly intend to cancel my subscription forthwith.

In fact, I have sent a email to Skydigital@bskyb.com but it has been returned undelivered. I do not want to cancel verbally and in order to save the trouble of snail mail has anyone got a valid email address please ?

    £75 a month for TV?????????????? That's £900 a year!!

What do you watch to warrant paying that much???

I think you should definitely cancel! To do so, you should write to them (yes, put pen to paper), and send it recorded delivery. This way they can't deny not receiving it.

Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

lol - do you think sky is worth £75 per month?

Considering you can get freeview and continuous single dvd rental for under £10 a month if you want films.

To think I moan about paying Sky £16.50 for TV and an extra £5 (soon to be £10) /month for the broadband.

    BTW
Direct Debits are a much better way of paying that by Credit card.
You can cancel a Direct Debit, but with a continuous credit agreement on a credit card the payee(Sky) has to cancel it.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

You should have called them and threatened to cancel. You would probably get a deal for 1/2 price or something instead.

Don't you have to call them to cancel?
As far as I know they don't accept cancellations by email.

I was not aware that the OP was using your money to pay for their Sky?!?

Oh that's right, they were not! What they OP decides to spend their money on and how much they decide to spend is no one business but theirs. Why not comment on what the OP was complaining about rather then making silly remarks.
