Control Alt Delete

in Techie Stuff
Hi kind people,

My cpu seems to be very active at the moment (I have a meter)

my control alt delete only brings up a list of processes now it does not show running programs. Any ideas how to fix it (Once I open it i cannot shut it down without restarting pc)

I have vista and the lap top is about 3 months old

    I've already did the malware and superanti as I had read people previous threads and realised they were good (I use norton normally).

    I'll try hijack and post it back on here

    Thanks thats got my task bar working again, not much running in applications so must be ok (I've done virus scans etc).

    Uninstall all the toolbars you dont use (aol, norton etc)

    You use 'incredimail'? Is it working ok? (Ive heard bad things about it)

    I find windows defender next to useless. Id turn it off personally

    Open msn and stop it from auto starting at boot up

    Update JAVA

    Id advise AGAINST using PCPITSTOP

    Download CCLEANER (Top right)

    Run the top 2 scans (Backupthe registry when it asks)

    Download GLARY UTILITIES (Click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')

    Why do you not like pcpitstop, any particular reason?

    I'm not sure what incredmail is, should I be concerned

    PCPITSTOP removes registry entries, and has been 'known' to remove some it shouldnt (Like 99% of registry cleaners). Most computers wouldnt run any differently after being 'cleaned', and so id advise putting the risk of a possible complete computer failure against a very small increase in speed which is usually inperceptible
