Toyota Approved Used Cars

Tuesday, nothing yet. It's been a week since we got the car!!!
Called Toyota Chichester again, the sales rep who sold us the car wasn't in, but a nice lady said "Is there any way I can help you?". Explained situation to her, explained I had already contacted Toyota GB about this (although they weren't much help) also said that in the leaflet they provided it is clearly stated that "...this is no replacement for a full owner's manual...".
She spoke to sales manager, who was unaware of the situation (so basically, if this is true, the rep is a liar, he told us he had spoken to his manager about this), who authorised her to send a manual to us. She said it would be in First Class Post tonight, so we should get it by thursday...
I suppose customer care comes down to whomever you are speaking to, whether they just want to brush you off or really want to help!
Ok, keeping fingers crossed again...staring to have a cramp!0 -
Well it sounds like the rep has been fobbing you off! But like you say customer care does come down to whoever you talk to and the mood they are in and whether they want to or feel like helping!
Hope you get it this timeWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
Hi,
We bought a used Yaris a yr or so ago and it came with the users manual. Out of curiosity - do you have the service history of your Yaris. Just asking as ours was contained within the user manual folder thingy. We've had no problems with Toyota, got a couple of minor things dealt with under the warranty and always had good customer service from them. Hope you manage to get things resolved...0 -
Can I say that this Toyota dealer are bit naff, cos I bought a European car and the owners manual was in Dutch, so I went to the local Renault dealer who ordered a English one for me, it was £6....hardly the worth worrying about. Shame on that dealer. Penny pinchers!

Well after a week of ranting and feeling frustrated finally SUCCESS!!!
After my phone call yesterday, the nice Toyota lady put the manual in the post, and I have received it today!
The car came with full history etc... and we were expecting the manual to be included in the folder, that is why when we didn't see it we asked for it and their reply was "...it's in the glove compartment...", in hindsight we should have checked the glove compartement before we left the dealer. When we got home and looked in the glove compartement we only found a 10 page leaflet called "Brief Guide".
Well but now this is resolved, OH is going tomorrow to Chichester to request £20 back from VED mistake, I guess now this shouldn't be a problem.
I am pretty sure that Toyota cars and service are very reliable, it was a bad experience, it hasn't put me off the company as a whole, but I certainly will not be taking the car for service to Toyota Chichester! I'll go to Waterlooville or Southampton but not Chichester. As I said before it all comes down to customer service and the sales rep was rubbish unfortunately!
Thanks for all the support!0 -
