    recommended !
Had salmon terrine, chicken in cream and brandy sauce , dauphinoise potatoes and Gu choc souffles!
really good deal and good size portions
  • I found ths to be a fab deal today: as there was a good choice for all 4 courses: can recommend the sirloin steak which is usually £6.49

We usually buy the M&S meal deals too but didn't want to spend £20 on this weekends Valentines:heart2: one
  • hmm.. waitrose or M&S? theres only one way to find out-

Just had the Waitrose Valentines meal (a day early I know, but never mind). It was delicious - kiln baked salmon, horseradish and lemon terrine with herb dressing for starter, then sirloin steak with bernaise butter, courgette and butternut squash slivers with lemon (plus some new potatoes that I bought separately) and then Gu chocolate banoffee pots to finish.

For £10 it was tremendous value and we really enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone.
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

I second that melbury. We had ours early too (ah well). All of these were fab:

    Prawn cocktail
Steak (you get 2 pieces in the bernaise butter, decent size sirloin steak)
The potatoes (cream, cheese etc, yum)
Lemon Fru cheesecake (these have a longer date of them, although they didn't hang around).

Like others have said, all the stock is in one place to make stuff easy to find, well done Waitrose!!

  • I agree with everyone. These deals are fantastic.

The brunch deal was brilliant! Had it with some cheese muffins and a bottle of Jacobs Creek sparkling Zinfendel and it was amazing!

We got the other meal deal too but were too stuffed to eat it yesterday so think we're having it split over the week but got:

    Cheese & Spinach Ravioli
    Steaks with Bearnaise Butter
    Roast Vegetable Medley
    Lemon Citron Cheesecakes

All looks fantastic and I think value wise this was so much better than M&S's deal! With a bottle of wine we got the whole lot for under £20! This included Brunch but obviously didn't include the rose but I wouldn't have wanted the rose. Also think it was better than the Tesco one as I find every week I got to get the Tesco one ours only has one choice in main and accompliment so would rather the Waitross one. Much better!
Never give up the dream!
