FTB Advice - Key Worker

Hi All,

I am finally going to take the step onto the giant ladder!:j

I am a key worker and believe the best option for me is the OwnHome Scheme - obviously I still have some fishing to do but at present that is what I think.

If anyone has any opinions/experiences please let me know.

I am wondering which are the best estate agents to go through? Are there any which are renound for charging higher rates or vice versa - any info welcome. I am very new to this....

As a buyer you don't pay estate agents anything (about the only thing you don't have to pay for!), the seller does paying of the estate agent normally a % of the selling price.

You therefore need to remember the EA is working for the seller and not you so trust nothing they say!
  • good to know, thanks. So I dont pay any fees - cool!

So any estate agents is OK - they are all much the same then?

Do some research on areas first.
Ring a few EA and you'll soon work out who's good and who doesn't care about FTB.
