How to clean car seats?

:rolleyes: I ban all food in my car! so a quick hoover is fine for my toddlers.
Sounds like a soap and water job!
Just a thought! if the children are in car seats-can you not take the covers off to wash!

My ex OH was in the motor trade and they used to use biological washing powder in the hottest water you could stand wearing rubber gloves. It used to make the upholstery come up like new. HTH

its a multipurpose amber coloured liquid in a plastic bottle

i get mine in wilkos but others get theirs in sainsburys / savers / adsa etc

its fab,lasts ages and can use it on many things from windows / floors / stain removal / all purpose spray cleaner / furniture ..........

give it a try its only 58ish pence !!

Stardrops is a concentrated all round cleaner, 600ml. Cleans inside and out without dulling or scratching!It is a bit like flash! but soaps up realy well.Everyone on MSN shouts about it! Read Stardrops, I have seen the light... I bought my bottle in Wilkingsons but I think a lot of supermarkets sell it.

I've just done my car with stardrops (chocolate ice cream, pale upholstery) it's come up like new.

I have alloy wheels and i cant seen to get rid of stuban black marks on the alloy. I use acid and it get rid of most of them but the its in the ackward corners are left because i cant get to them and acid doesnt seem to remove them....Any ideas on how i can get them off?

Need some ideas on how to battle my disgusting car seats which have had all sorts of drink etc spilt on them over time so that they are stained with water marks etc.

Its a light colour fabric and want to do a car valet of some sort as picking friends up from the airport on Sunday and don't expect them to see a nice clean car on the outside and scummy seats on the inside.

Ideas on how to tackle this please.

I used some special fabric seat foam cleaner purchased from Halfords. It worked a treat but I did read somewhere that you could try a mild solution of detergent taking care not to saturate the seat (otherwise they'll go mouldy:rolleyes: ).
