LOL know what you mean about the shopping KP - in this case I fully expected to come in under our usual weekly total with kids being off and them being at my parents - never seems to happen like that, even with the best of intentions!

Yesterday ended in me tearing my hair out as baby - who is usually the most calm and placid creature you could ever meet - decided mummy wasn't allowed to do anything herself for more than 5 minutes before he wanted a pick up:A Lovely to have cuddles but meant I didn't get much done, I think he must have felt my frustrations and did it more:eek: So cleaning the bathroom tiles got scrapped, especially since the grouting started falling out when I scrubbed it! Mental note: buy grout cleaner pen, far easier than scrubbing after having to climb into the bath and stand on tiptoes to reach above my head, especially in my "condition" LOL:D

Must confess forgot all about SOA last night:o I fully intend to finalise it and print it out tonight, handily OH goes out sometimes on a Weds so have the laptop to myself.

Started making a list of maternity clothes and prices, started doing this complicated secondary list of what outfits I could make from the list, hoping to buy a few pieces and get lots of mileage out of them. Already watching some cropped jeans on ebay as remember how hot and stifling it was when I was pg over the summer with DD2 so thinking practically. Also KP's point about delivery charges was something I hadn't thought of but makes sense, particularly since I prefer to order online rather than go into shops in 'real life' LOL:D

Saw the Eon ad for the electricity wotsits that measure your energy usage, we're with Eon and it seems you can get one if you manage your bills online so need to check that out.

    Hi Jo_R,

This is our recent Energy Fit campaign, if you sign up for this you’ll receive a free energy monitor and the software for your computer to help you see and track your energy usage.

The programme is designed to help you access energy saving information and tips and to allow you to see the savings this brings.

This is a good initiative to help you save money and energy.

Signed up for Energy Fit - at least that's what I thought I'd done - I assume Eon will send me the stuff through the post but might need to check it out as it didn't say anything after I registered online about what happens next?

Been rushing round like a headless chicken this morning. Still so much to do but made myself have a sit down as I knew if I didn't then I wouldn't get one until lunchtime.

Made a list over breakfast (seems like hours ago now!) which consists of the following:
    • phone family visitor about stairgates (was able to claim some for the kitchen through a charity but turns out they're the screw-in sort rather than the pressure-fix -can't see our landlord being too happy!)
    • wipe clean upstairs doors (will do this pm)
    • [STRIKE]take bridesmaid dresses upstairs (been hanging on back of kitchen door for last week!)[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]put washing from yesterday to dry:o[/STRIKE]
    • tidy top of fridge (grr @ OH - is all his bits and bobs from work such as screws, nails, screwdrivers and a hi-vis vest??!)
    • start online shopping (hahahah chance will be a fine thing!)
    • wash downstairs windows (as above:D)
    • put up bathroom blind (and again - slighly hopeful there methinks!)
Need to tot up spends from the weekend and adjust SOA running totals which will prob do later on in the evening as easier to concentrate.

Also need to transfer some money from savings to cover new rug bought for living room and CD/DVD cabinet which have needed for the past year but not gotten round to buying - will buy at last when money clears into my current account from savings in a few days.

Need to chase up ex about maintenance money not going into my account.

Also need to find out about poss putting DD2 into nursery from 8am instead of 9am - having to take DD1 to school for 9am means DD2 gets taken to nursery after, it's a bit of a walk so we don't get there until 9.20/9.25am and after some input from our family visitor and DD2's key worker, we feel it might be beneficial for DD2 to arrive earlier to be able to integrate better into their key groups. Will have a chat in a little while when picking her up. Not sure what sort of cost would be looking at tbh.

    Hi Jo_R,

Yeah everything that Energy Fit provides will be sent via the post. The packaging the monitor is in may be too big for most post boxes, so if you’re not home when it’s delivered in may need picking up from the sorting office.

Just to pre-warn you the Energy Fit has been very successful and there are quite long delays expected for delivery.

I posted quite a bit of info on this thread recently https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/33429895#Comment_33429895

Ooops yes sorry:o My time on here is often limited so I never seem to get everything done - I've got to rush off in a few mins again so I'll prob reply this evening.

SAHM - yep those piles of things appear all over the house, usually in strategic positions like the top of the fridge (walks in from work through back door, empties pockets), bedside table/top of chest of drawers (sorting clothes at bedtime), and any bathroom windowsill (before having a shower.) Inevitably piles of coppers will appear that are obviously important enough to keep but not important enough to ever pick up again - they always go into the coppers jar!

Got to just book a slot for online shopping then rush off and get DD2 from nursery. Yesterday was a right shenanigans so will post about it later!

I always seem to be in such a rush!

Another dashed posting here as got to pick up DD2 soon. Online shop booked for this afternoon, usual spend of just over £60 which comes out of OH's account. He huffed when I reminded him last night I could really do with the money for the last two weeks' grocery shop which I paid for so not sure how much of it I'll get as I know he's short a bit this week.

Bit of a shambles with balancing out the cash from over the weekend. Did some spending which I knew was okay, however for whatever reason I still don't have the money from ex for the girls maintenance so am short, need to pay for DDs' snacks, milk money and lunches plus the long day DD2 had at nursery right before half-term but can't do that at the mo.

Hoping to get a little home baking done this afternoon but not counting my chickens, would be great though as need to use up some eggs and kids always love HM biscuits/cookies/bun cakes and can put them in pack ups.

    Got to dash!
