Well *rubs hands together* all being well the mystery debt has been paid off in full, and the extra transferred into my account. I'll spill once payments have appeared in my account and been applied to the debt in question:)

Got 6.37 paid into my account from Quidco so transferred that onto the Tesco cc and updated my sig. Getting it down slowly but surely, this month's minimum payment was £28 but have set my monthly payment to 67.10 which is based on January's minimum payment plus the difference between my old loan payment amount and my new one which reduced after the PPI was taken off. Going to keep it at that then any extra money that comes in will get paid as and when.

    V. tired so gonna sign off shortly - I need everyone to prompt me to double check the online shopping tomorrow before it's delivered on Friday!

Okay so I revised my online shopping... then missed the delivery by 15 mins:o Have arranged for it to be delivered tomorrow though so it's not too bad:D

I'm still tracking my "mystery" debt payment which isn't showing in my account or on my debt. After some investigation it seems said payments can take up to 4 working days to show so it's quite possible nothing will show up until next week - not sure I can bear the wait!

I really need to go through my receipts and tot up running totals - but today has been busy and I'm sooooooo tired so it'll have to wait for now.

Just a short note to say congrats on all you've achieved since you started the diary~!

Also, I know what you mean about needing something to occupy your mind. I suffer from depression, and whenever I have time off work (I work in a school! So much time off!) I sometimes end up finding myself in a reaaaally low place!

Perhaps you could look for some uber-part time work? A cafe or pub?

Olliegami - I'm so tired at the mo that I don't think I could manage to drag myself to work for a very part-time job, as good an idea as it sounds. I think I'm slacking a bit in taking care of myself, I might go to the GPs and get some blood tests done, have been wondering if it might be thyroid-related as my mum suffers from under-active thyroid, or even something as simple as low iron.

    ...Dramatic drum roll...

The mystery debt can be revealed!

Ex-OH's wife has (and yes, I know this sounds like utter fabrication!!!) worked out how much ex-OH should owe towards my personal loan - she went to some trouble to do some proper maths on it - and has paid directly to the loan company most of the amount - which pays off the loan in full - and the remaining amount into my bank account:T

Technically it has nothing really to do with her but I have uber-respect for her doing this - and it has certainly made us more amicable which is really nice for the girls.

At the start of the year the loan amount stood at 3626.74, we got a settlement figure of just over 2900, and I have the remainder today in my account. Not sure yet what we're going to do with it, the obvious thing would be to use some of it towards paying off my Tesco cc which going by my sig would balance out as she's paid around 1200 straight to me.

That would leave me with my Open Uni debt then two Tax Credits overpays (the latter both interest-free). The OU one is only until June, and I could throw a huge amount more at the TCs possibly... Need to work it out.

    To do list for today:
    • [STRIKE]dry washing from yesterday[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]clear table and wash up[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]pay nursery fees from last week when put DD2 in for a long day[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]pay £5 to council for Housing Benefit overpay which clears that one completely:j[/STRIKE]
    • actually print out SOA (is done online) and use receipts to update running totals (prob do this evening)
    • work out what to do with surplus money in account from ex-OH's wife and from extra TCs payment - still need to buy new furniture so will make list of things needed this evening and work it out from there
    • [STRIKE]load of laundry[/STRIKE]
