Standing order all sorted, phoned council and explained and it was fine, they've noted it on the computer and I made a payment over the phone just to keep on top of it so is all good.

Not sure am going to set myself any targets for the weekend... To be honest I'm flagging just sat here at the computer and I want as stress-free a weekend as possible in order to prise baby gently out - I guess that could be a target though :rotfl:

    Hey!

I was thinking last night I hadn't updated...

Nope, still no baby yet! 15 days over  and waiting...

Checked online banking and have gone £7 over my overdraft with all my DDs coming out. My fault for a) not realising I would have an unauthorised overdraft charge to accompany the charges I had come out a week or two previously, and b) completely forgetting it was DD day (LOL) and checking there was enough money in... Although to be fair I've had my mind on other (baby) things so I'm going to go easy on myself and put it down to what's going on around us at the mo.

Rent day coming up and because we've been pretty much housebound (that sounds bad doesn't it?!) waiting for baby, OH hasn't spent even half of our entertainment budget, so he was happily surprised yesterday when he checked his online banking to find a nice bit of extra cash in there, more than enough for rent and he gets paid on Friday.

I have one outstanding thing at the mo which is my student loan deferment form. I'm going to sort it out either this afternoon or tomorrow, I think I have all the appropriate supporting documents for it neatly filed in my folder so shouldn't be a hassle really. I'd do it now but I really should catch up on some housework - I've sent OH off out as he's started his paternity leave and we've spent pretty much 24 hours a day together since the weekend as we've been going up to hospital to have baby monitored, and thought it would be a good idea to have a bit of a break from each other, just chill out and hope things happen soon!:D

    Hey beanielou

I can go as long as I want basically. Already been fending off offers of induction - if baby's fine in there am happy to keep going as long as monitoring is showing he's fine, taking it day by day.

Anyways I'm off to do vigorous amounts of housework to try and shift him LOL! :rotfl:

Well not posted on here for a while!

We are now a family with three kids, soooo hectic and busy but getting into some semblance of a routine!

My DFW quest has taken somewhat of a back seat over the last three weeks. Basically we're in a bit of a pickle for various reasons, nothing too bad but luckily I've picked up the reins the week before direct debit day and a couple of weeks before rent day so hopefully can pull things back as much as possible. It's basically because we've forgotten to transfer rent money, I've gone over my overdraft limit and budgeting has gone out of the window with regard to grocery shopping and we still have my dad's car which is still costing us a fortune in petrol :o:o:o

I know, I know, we should have given it back but it's soooo handy to have especially with baby here.

Another thing which hasn't helped is OH's work messed up his paternity pay. Luckily (and very nice on their part because they could have left us very short) they've sorted it out so it isn't costing us anything but does mean OH now only has a week's worth of holiday left until his next holiday year starting next January:rolleyes:

So I'm trying to sort out things bit by bit. I phoned up tax credits today only to be told that I can't add baby to our claim until he has a name  He's three weeks tomorrow and we have our appointment to register him so a very MSE reason to pick a name for baby - and also because we need the birth certificate for claiming Child Benefit for him!

In all honesty not sure I'll get anything done today but tomorrow I'm off to the bank to pay in the cash OH's work have given him for last week's work (sounds complicated but is all above board and works out right on his payslip.) We will as I mentioned register baby's birth, and tonight planning to sit down and have a look through the money situation to bring things back round for this month and start budgeting again. I think we might end up having to borrow some money but tighening our belts next month will hopefullymean we can redeem the situation a bit and balance things out.

If anyone has any words of wisdom (yes I know "get rid of the car" is blatantly obvious!) then they are most welcome - or just words of support and encouragement as I'm feeling desperately sleep-deprived at the mo!
