Thanks KP. Might take you up on that at some point.
Realised I didn't print out January's SOA so need to do that and do transferring funds here and there - with mum being poorly it slipped my mind.
Also need to tot up PPI money -have been slack and not actually carried out my plan to pay off a chunk on my Tesco cc and stash a bit away yet. I have a couple of bits left but can't get them until we have the car as they're pick-up only from Ikea, so will keep that in the current account until we're mobile again. All sorting will get done this evening - or that's the plan!
Also looking for some kind of wedding planner or spreadsheet - I need to have in front of me everything I need to plan for as feel a bit disorganised at the mo!
For today:- [STRIKE]clear table and wash pots[/STRIKE]
- check online banking and transfer amounts to various pots
- tot up PPI money and go through receipts for 'stuff for house' budget to check what's left
- pay chunk off Tesco cc from PPI
- transfer amount to savings for 'just in case' from PPI
- put laundry away
- [STRIKE]vacuum downstairs[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]buy hair dye[/STRIKE]:D

Yep still plodding along
Good news is Mum appears to be better over the past couple of days, should be getting some test results back today so should find out more.
Bit behind with my list as fell asleep putting DDs to bed last night:o Woke up about 11pm as OH getting ready to go to bed. Not spent proper time with him for a few days now so hopefully will snuggle up later - after a hair dyeing sesh, and a bit of pampering - only time I can get an uninterrupted shower is when kids in bed:rolleyes::DDealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Must confess I *still* haven't done my receipts/running totals/printed out January's SOA:o Last night was spent doing online shopping/tidying up then snuggling up with OH but tonight is his pub night so planning on getting stuff done then.
Need to get jobs pages in a bit but nothing else urgent for today xDealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

I started to compose a post earlier on this morning, got interrupted by baby, and this evening after kids' bedtimes, came down and opened up the laptop to be faced with said message... It feels like the same whirlwind happens every day!
Decided to be easy on myself for January. I've spent a bit more in terms of cash withdrawals and debit cards payments for snacks etc what with bus fares to the hospital and buying snacks and drinks for us all when there and on the way (usually am organised wth bringing things but just not been this last couple of weeks.) I still have a surplus left but no big spends planned, only a couple of presents for my dad and DD1 in two or three weeks which will be bought from my presents budget.
I *still* have what remains of my PPI money sat in my current account. Things been slow moneywise what with having mum being poorly on my mind. The plan is to split what is left between my Tesco cc and savings fund, which is a 'just in case' fund but also doubles up as a wedding fund:D Before I do that I shall be subtracting a sum for a new stereo, and also the fee to give notice at the register office for the weddingI am toying with setting aside money for our wedding rings as that was what I suggested when OH asked me what I wanted to do on Saturday (my birthday!:D)
The majority of the money will be chucked at the cc, partly because I am already putting aside some money each month in a saver anyway, and also with the view that the less I put aside, the less I have to spend on the wedding iyswim?:o
I am finding I am still faltering on what to do with my "spare" pennies. The idea of splitting everything 50/50 (as suggested by KP:D) is a fairly simple and effortless one for me to implement, 50% to Tesco cc to overpay and 50% to the wedding fund. I have started to do a budget for the wedding but hate the thought of spending unnecessarily, but know I need, need, NEED to do one because this is in the main the cause of the floundering: that we haven't categorically decided what exactly we are doing as regards a reception. Once we know that will clear the way to know how much I need to save over the year.
I have also held off on transferring money as (allegedly - will believe it when I see it:rolleyes:) our car should be ready on Saturday. Last quote was £400 all in but it could potentially be more (it better not be:mad:) so want to have cash on hand just in case. Hi Jo,
Found your diary again, I'm going to subscribe this time so I don't keep losing you.
Sorry to hear about your mum being poorly ((((big hugs)))) it's good that she's got family around her.
Congratulations on the wedding date, you must be excited.
Well done on the PPI money too.
Catch you later,
Tea

Aw thank you Tea!
Going out for tea in a bit, it's my birthday tomorrow but it's DDs' weekend at their dad's so it's an early birthday tea for me. Budgeted £60 (but this includes a bit for tomorrow when we've planned to go out in the evening), should say I don't expect a pub meal for us all (me, OH, DDs and baby) to come to £60:D
We don't often do that all of us together so I'm really pleased and looking forward to it.
Popped into town earlier and spent £7 on some bits - really need to knock this on the head, the spending on miscellaneous bits when I'm out. I need to get into gear and start bringing snacks and drinks with us again so we don't need to buy them whilst out.
Had to cancel going to give notice at the register office this afternoon as couldn't get anyone to pick up DD1 from school which was when we were due to be there (parents normally do it but of course with mum being ill they couldn't.) Got it scheduled for next Saturday - must remember to put aside the money for that - £30 each.
Just going to look for a calendar on ebay as I have a lot of dates to remember which I keep forgetting!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Thank you
Had a lovely birthday tea with the family, then a lovely night out with OH, made all the better by friends unexpectedly turning up. Baby had his first sleepover at OH's mums, felt v. strange him not being here and was v. pleased to get him back!:D
I didn't spend any of the £60 I budgeted for my birthday weekend. However I did pay for shopping last week so will use it to cover that with a little left over.
I have a bad feeling about our plans for this year re: the wedding and holidays. I won't go into too much detail as OH sometimes pops on and I know he's not keen on me going into detail about personal stuff, but I suspect one of us is going to have to compromise (read: give in!) their plans for the year regarding the wedding and our holidays:eek:Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Just rolling along this week. I'm a bit out of motivation tbh; I'm knackered and dreading the weekend. OH doesn't cope very well with a houseful of kids and gets really narky when it's chaotic so hoping to get out a bit then - the car is back from being mended - finally! - but has some problems with the electrics (don't ask:rolleyes:) so just need to sort those out (you couldn't make it up!)
Need to do some online shopping and clean the bathrooms today as well as wash up but not setting myself any other targets as don't think they'll get done.
Better get something accomplished whilst baby asleep and DD2 at nursery!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63
