good news on the loan. Sorry to hear about the car. Try looking at a Zafira, easy to drive and good space for 3 kids.:j0
-
Zafira - will take a look and run it by OH. He's been looking at Discoveries and Hilux two cabs:eek: He had a Hilux when we first met but it died a sudden death on our holiday down to Cornwall a couple of years ago and we had to be rescued from the middle of nowhere:rolleyes: Apparently the model he had all have some inherent head gasket fault so no idea why he's looking at them again!
DDs went off to my parents a little while ago and OH gone off with baby to his mums, so am here all by myself - a rarity on a Friday evening! I *think* I'm supposed to be clearing out the girls' room ready for sorting out bunk beds tomorrow but somehow here I am:o In my defence I did see the girls off then whizz round tidying up the living room so I *have* done something, honest!:D
I'm pretty much all out of surplus funds minus a couple of pounds now, lucky with it nearly being the end of the month! Need to get sorted with my SOA for December - I'm not making it too tight this month as I predict lots of unforeseen expenses or purchases - not that I'm planning on going crazy as I do have my Christmas money but it's my first "proper" DFW Christmas and... hmm well I guess I want to have some money free just in case, although I'm not sure what might crop up...
OH was lying here on sofa last night with baby asleep on him when his phone beeped with a message. I picked it up to read it to him (the "done" thing I should add before I sound like some crazy stalker woman!) and he told me no, he didn't want me to look. Cue all sorts of frantic thoughts - main ones (sounds silly but) messages about laydeez between him and his work mates (not sure why I thought that though!)
He said there were some messages on there he didn't want me to see... apparently about the wedding we haven't actually planned or arranged yet, something about a surprise for me
Now. I am always mentioning romance, doing romantic stuff, surprises, you know, stereotypical (I hate to say it!) but the kind of thing a *cringes* woman likes. So either a) this has sunk in and he's got something lined up or b) he's totally fibbing and he's up to something. Bear in mind his 'up to something' isn't THAT bad but would be something along the lines of going off on a boys' holiday to some seedy European city or an all-dayer leaving me with the kids - not that he's ever done either of those to me but I mean he's not a philanderer LOL!
It just sounds a bit sus because we haven't actually planned ANYTHING for getting married except when we want to (first weekend in December 2010) and that we want to get married in the register office. That's literally it. He's really not taken much of an interest in much of it so I can't envision him having planned anything for what is as yet not an actual wedding!
Unless it's all reverse psychology and he's made me think that and he's going to surprise me by having arranged it all!:rotfl: Yep time to stop over-analysing methinks and just ask him!!!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Well I asked him if there really were secret texts about wedding things on his phone:D He said no, not really, he was just messing about - but then said well if he was planning a surprise he wouldn't TELL me he was planning a surprise would he?
***So he's planning a surprise!!!***
Hahahaha I reckon but not going to ask him, I shall just float along in a tranquil state pretending I haven't realised;)
Staked out town on Saturday, thought about buying a few bits but it was so busy I just did a bit of recon checking out prices then came home. Found out after OH had dropped me off that the car blew up:rotfl: Okay so the radiator broke but he apparently drew to a halt right in the middle of one of the main roads out of town LOL:D So the car is knackered.
Currently debating whether to cut our losses for good and get something a bit newer or work on this car... Could do either, just not decided yet.
Better go as can hear baby crying xDealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Oh dear on car blowing up
nice place to stop though
As you know mine and DH's past, I would probably of asked him what was going on, and he knows that, as otherwise I just end up working myself up into a right state and make myself ill

The mystery goes on... OH has gone off out as one of our friends asked him out for drinkies. Tbh it is *very* rare OH goes out midweek anymore, plus I saw the start of a text on OH's phone the other day where said friend was confirming a date OH had obviously asked him, even though OH says it was our friend who made the date, so something is afoot (whether tonight is involved or not) - I just don't know what.
You might think I sound crazy (me?) but I have a knack for knowing when something is going on, like a sixth sense, but keep thinking if OH *is* planning something I don't want to find out too much iyswim!:D
Anyhow...:rolleyes:Am supposed to be sorting out a load of Christmas presents online whilst OH is out. Got a handful to still sort for DDs, then planning on doing OH a 'pamper kit', nothing fancy but keep reading about lots of people on here doing them and thought would be nice for OH, full of little bits just for him, shower gel, deodorant, nice razor, that sort of thing.
Off to make the most of my 'hog the laptop' time!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Flippin' heck, last night sorting out buying prezzies online was like doing homework:eek:
Scoured the net for the best prices on these Baby Born swim dolls, have ended up making reservations for 2 to the store near my mum and dad's house, they're going to pick them up for me which means I didn't have to pay an extra a) £5.80 or whatever it is delivery charge and b) an extra £5 each doll which is what some places were charging for the dolls:eek:
Apart from that didn't buy anything else, I'm planning a visit to town on Saturday to pick up some stocking fillers and clothes for baby from Primark. I also want to pop along and buy some small trees for my dad but need to do that in real life (LOL).
Hoping tonight to sort the rest of DDs' prezzies that I need to order online.
To do today then:- [STRIKE]check online banking[/STRIKE]
- phone Co-op to reinstate online banking as it's been a real pain
- order rest of prezzies needed online
- [STRIKE]tumble dry load of laundry done last night[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]clear table and wash up breakfast pots[/STRIKE]
- make apple bun cakes with recipe in Somerfield magazine to use up eggs and apples from last week
- [STRIKE]pay council tax (oops forgot to do this - this is what happens when I slack on my lists:o)[/STRIKE]
Haven't quite worked out the timer I got for the washing machine - when I sort it out then switch it on like it says the washer just comes straight onHave tried twizzling with it but then it looks like it's off? Maybe I'm a bit dim and haven't done it right:o

Did more looking at prezzies last night... Feeling a bit stuck tbh! I have DD1's hefty list but tbh there's a lot of things I don't want to get. I have succumbed to the plastic dolly want with a Baby Born for each of them but there's different Barbies and some other dolls she wants and it's too much - I don't really like them and they have enough anyway:eek:
Having said that I do want them to have things they'll like, look after and play with again, I've given myself til the end of the week to sort it out and have either everything bought or ordered so will ponder upon it for a little while longer.
Always feel quite optimistic on Thursdays as it's nearly Friday:j Was having a stress this week about not managing everything as in quality time with kids and housework. I think I am going to step it up a gear with organisation, this will include:- start using calendar again for important dates as have slacked off with writing them down and keep forgetting stuff!
- start using diary again with important dates for payments, DDs etc (brought on my forgetting to pay council tax on 1st:o)
- noticeboard in more prominent place (poss in kitchen) with important letters to deal with, notes etc
- list to pin up of basic tasks to get done everyday to cover things like clearing table from breakfast and washing up, vacuum living room, put load of laundry ready to wash at night, sort washed laundry to either hang out on line or dry
- and from this make a rota through the week of each day - will help to ensure things get done but will help me to realise they don't ALL need doing in one day or everyday!
So for today (another list!):- [STRIKE]phone Co-op to reinstate online banking as it's been a real pain[/STRIKE]
- order some more prezzies needed online
- make apple bun cakes with recipe in Somerfield magazine to use up eggs and apples from last week
- [STRIKE]clear table and wash breakfast pots[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]check online banking[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]phone Halifax about DD for loan as hasn't come out - very odd as still listed on my account but hasn't for some reason kicked in
[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]pack up and send ebay item that sold at weekend[/STRIKE]
