Morning Jo,
Sounds like you have got a decent sized plan of action there for the week.
Have a good day. x0 -
Hello
Sorry to hear about the car. Since we have had one the costs are a right pain.:j0 -
- [STRIKE]OH short on rent as paid out for car being towed last week so need to transfer some money over tomorrow (Monday);[/STRIKE]done
- buy printer cartridge to type out letter regarding reclaiming PPI and post off; not done yet - this bloody printer cartridge seems to get overlooked for everything else:o
- [STRIKE]weekly shop online - storecupboard challenge is looking imminent given OH's finances![/STRIKE] done last night in a last-minute "oh damn I forgot" panic:eek:
- sort out V5 for car (LOL) - seems last owner left it rather than doing it himself not done this yet - will go and dig it out of car shortly
- [STRIKE]decide what to do with car - looking like OH/dad/OH's stepdad (not sure yet) going to have a go and see if it's possible we can sort it without taking it to a garage... decided it's worth a go, nothing to lose and see how that pans out before making a major decision[/STRIKE] asked OH - he wants to take it apart and have a go so that's what we're going to do, nothing to lose as it stands right now, if we can mend it we will, if not then will probably have to scrap it or sell it on for spares
- need to phone BT to check billing as appears two DDs have been taken out of my account this month for different amounts - possible one may be last bill for old house but need to clarify need to do this when baby is quiet - erm now?

Well this month isn't going as planned - car breaking down has turned everything upside down. Luckily this month because of the moving house, we haven't paid council tax but I had the cash put aside so that's not too bad with me having to transfer money over into OH's account for rent.
Playgroup this morning - £2.20 in total. Snacks from shop on way (quite a walk for the kids so treated them - and me LOL) came to £2ish. Chased down the ice-cream van just now - I promised girls we'd have ice-creams next time it came round as we didn't get any last time, so withdrew £10 and spent £3.60 on three cones.
I have set up a savings account after doing a little research, got a good rate of interest for 12 months but can withdraw with only a small penalty. Set up a £50 standing order using the emergency fund amount on my SOA. Realised as well that we won't be spending on petrol so that will be a small saving in the month - anything saved will be put towards credit card - I want enough put away 'just in case' but to use all other funds to throw at credit card.
This is where I'll need to be very careful and watching every penny - can anyone recommend a spreadsheet or similar where I can input everything I spend as well as the regular monthly incomings and outgoings as I think it woudl be really useful?Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

If you like I could email you mine, I made a spreadsheet to keep track of EVERYTHING going in and out of all my accounts, current, savings, isa's etc etc and all the things I'm trying to pay off etc I've sent it to a couple of people already and they all been happy with it as far as I know, if you send me a PM with your email address I'll email it over as soon as I get it
BT have just upped our monthly payment from £25 per month to £44.50 per month  !!! They will be getting a phone call when I get home as a £19.50 price hike is a little more than we can handle! £30 a month would get the current bill paid by the time the next one comes in anyway! Monkeys
Ink cartridges I normally get from 7 day shop, and I think they are on some cashback websites (although not sure which ones) always delvered quickly if in stock, will keep you updated if not in stock:idea: Jan 09. Hi Bevan - I've used seven-day-shop before and found them to be really good and efficient so might just do that as I don't today find myself any closer to having bought that ink cartridge:o
DD2 been poorly and baby woke up twice last night so feeling v. tired. DD2 curled up with me on sofa and baby asleep on me so not getting much done today I think! If I at least phone BT that'll be one thing to cross off the list - we've been busy doing fun kids stuff so not got as much done as I might have but it's been fun
OH and my dad been looking at paperwork for car and seems the work it had done on it not long before we got it has a 12-month warranty so it may be we might have another avenue to pursue - could potentially save the day so keeping my fingers very firmly crossed!
Little to-do list just for today:- check online banking
- check credit card online
- phone BT re: bill
- order ink cartridge online

Hi Jo, poor lil things, hope they're feeling better soon
I did manage to ring BT last night, long story about liking their customers to be in credit and not debit, so I have normal payment of £25 out tomorrow and managed to get the sept payment down to £40, then I can start lowering it on the internet apparently, I'll check it more later but she said I'd be able to lower the payments little by little after Sept payment:idea: Jan 09. Woo!
Had two separate bills because one is for broadband and one is for phone - doh! Oddly (or not, I dont know) the bb one is a quarterly bill but the phone one is a monthly one - it makes sense until I start wondering how much I'm going to get billed for bb each month - that's what confuses me! Might call them back tomorrow and ask them to explain now I think about it...
Ebay auctions finish tomorrow - not been having much luck recently so hoping I can get rid of a few more things to go towards the cc balance before the end of the month.Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Well logged into my email just now and have managed to gain my first ever free tickets for a film screening - only trouble is I don't have black ink in my printer to print out the tickets so have to run round before Sunday morning to find someone who'll let me use their computer and printer to print them out LOL!:D:rolleyes: Would you believe it...
Today is a quiet one, I always think of Fridays as my 'take it a bit easy' day LOL, nothing organised but need to pop to shop to get cheese and milk, and hoping to take kids to park this afternoon. Washing machine is on, washing up is done, table is cleared from breakfast, girls and baby playing so having 5 quiet minutes. OH finishes an hour early on a Friday as well which is always nice - whether he actually gets home an hour earlier though is another matter!
Little list of things to do today:- phone Intelligent Finance re: online access as need a code to get in which I haven't got
- check online banking
- phone BT about direct debit
- buy card for party DD1 going to tomorrow
- check ebay to see how items doing as a couple finish tonight
- check ebay for bigger clothes for baby as he's growing out of his 3-6 months now - makes sense with him being 6 months old LOL
